McLendon Hall, Drew University | Madison, New Jersey
McLendon Hall is a 6-story LEED Silver certified residence hall that makes use of a highly-efficient building envelope and glazing distribution which minimizes HVAC equipment loads. 28 geothermal wells supplement the heating and cooling system, while regionally extracted, harvested, and manufactured materials came from within 500 miles of the site, saving fuel and emissions. A green screen displays the continuous monitoring of energy production, water use at the school, as well as data output from energy meters and PV panels.
