NEW – Interior Design Manager (Posted 3/17/22)

We seek an Interior Design Manager to join our team in creating beautiful spaces that respond to and support the architectural design and result in aesthetically strong, unified places which clearly communicate the brand of the institution or commercial entity.  Qualities the candidate should possess include being creative, organized, can work on multiple projects at once, and be well adept at time management.

Design responsibilities encompass all levels of project development, from initial planning through construction documentation, and inclusive of installation and follow up; tasks include space planning, preparation of drawings and presentation materials, furniture and finish selection, creation of finish boards, development of furniture specifications, creation of furniture and finishes budget lists, furniture procurement, furniture installation, and codification of finishes in project record books.

The management of the Interiors Studio requires working with external product representatives, dealers, and manufacturers. You will be responsible for maintaining the materials library, meeting with manufacturers’ representatives to stay current on products and trends, coordinating the selection and return of samples to vendors, researching products upon team members’ request, and scheduling of lunch and learns for the architectural staff. Experience in AutoCAD/Revit, Microsoft Excel, 3D modeling/rendering (SketchUp, 3DMax), graphic design (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and a minimum of 3 years of experience is desirable.

Interior Design Coordinator

We seek an Interior Design Coordinator to join our team in creating beautiful, functional, and sustainable spaces for people. The candidate will work closely with the Interiors Studio management including the principal in charge and lead interior designer. Design responsibilities include furniture space planning, selecting/returning samples to vendors, creating finish boards, developing furniture specifications, maintaining furniture and finishes lists to assist with making selections within the client’s budget, coordinating furniture installations, and creating project finish record books.

Business Management Coordinator

VMA is hiring for a new position, Business Management Coordinator, to assist our Director of Business & Human Resources in managing the firm’s operations. Responsibilities will include assisting with basic accounting such as accounts payable, maintaining compliance with government agencies and professional boards, as well as completing general office tasks like scanning and filing. Prior relevant experience is preferred but not necessary. We will consider both part-time and full-time applicants and hope to find a candidate that is the right fit for our collaborative office culture.

Preservation Architect / Project Manager

Voith & Mactavish Architects, LLP has an immediate opening for a Preservation Project Architect / Project Manager who shares our commitment to creating great architecture that reflects innovation in the context of tradition.

Our diverse preservation portfolio includes the renovation of early 20th century movie theaters; the expansion of an early 19th century church building; the restoration of a mid-century modern icon; and much more. Capabilities include stand-alone preservation studies, hands-on conditions assessments, and the architectural and preservation design of rehabilitation projects.

We are looking for someone with a background in preservation architecture, ideally with a strong eye for traditional design and detailing, who can communicate clearly and efficiently both in writing and in person.  The ability to use Autocad and/or Revit and In-Design is expected.  Candidates should be comfortable working autonomously and on a team. Licensure and active involvement with the preservation community are desirable but not required.

Project Architect / Project Manager

Voith & Mactavish Architects, LLP has an immediate opening for a Project Architect/Project Manager who shares our commitment to creating great architecture that reflects innovation in the context of tradition. 

We are looking for a skilled designer, detailer, and communicator with at least four years of experience. Candidates should have the ability to work on multiple projects at once, both autonomously and on a team, and to be comfortable working in Revit and AutoCad. The ability to write specifications is desirable, as is licensure.
