David E. Halter


David E. Halter, AIA, NCARB, LEED Green Assoc., has been with VMA since 2011. In addition to his role as a project manager, he also coordinates the firm’s general IT needs and provides technical support for BIM projects.

David received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Drexel University Westphal College of Media Arts & Design. He has an affinity for technically complex projects, especially theater and performing arts design at both the K-12 and college & university levels. His experience includes the Simpson Center for the Performing Arts at The Baldwin School and the LEED Gold Certified Kenneth Kai Tai Yen Humanities Building at The Pennington School, where he also recently completed the renovation of Meckler Library. He is currently engaged in the construction phases of both the new Performing Arts Center at Villanova University (with Robert A.M. Stern Architects) and a new science and technology center at Malvern Preparatory School.

When not in the office, David enjoys traveling with his wife, exploring the wealth of culinary options Philadelphia offers, and photographing the city’s diverse architecture and streetscapes. David is also a member of the South of South Neighborhood Association’s Architectural Review Committee, assisting in the community review of zoning applications for his neighborhood.
